In the final week of this
critical election, will you help us to achieve our modest goal of
10 new, monthly sustainers in 7 days?
Yup, 10. That's all. And if by chance we could surpass this number, we'd be elated!
But here's the catch:
Under Canadian law, environmental advocacy and activism are not recognized within charitable status guidelines.
Were ecoSanity to become a charity, the strict rules of operation would require us to mute our urgent voice and peaceful protest activity.
As a result, in order to maintain our total independence and essential freedom of political expression, we are unable to issue tax receipts.
Bit-uv-a show stopper, hunh? So why should you bother to read another word?
Because the
Harper-led Conservative regime of
wolves in sheep's clothing has done everything in its power to cripple advocates of social, environmental and climate justice in Canada,
not to mention
democracy itself.
And because our all-too-uncommon focus -- the climate crisis, rarely mentioned in the campaign --
is not just a cause. It is a clear, present, accelerating,
EMERGENCY threat to
global food and water supply, international security, and the very survival of
billions of people and
species RIGHT NOW.
ecoSanity is as bare bones as it gets.
For over 4 years, we have risked and sacrificed to communicate the hard truth about
the greatest crime against humanity, most life and most future life ever.
Help make our goal of
10 new, monthly sustainers by election night, Monday, May 2nd, a reality so we can continue our work to mobilize and advocate in defense of a livable world for every one and every thing each of us needs and loves.
Thank you! Glenn MacIntosh, Founder:
