Integrated assessment models (IAMs) used by researchers today – where climate change data is integrated with economic data – are dangerously flawed because they are based on naïve assumptions, according to Kevin Anderson from the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change at the University of Manchester, UK.

At the March 2009, 'Emergency' Scientific Congress on Climate Change, more than 2,500 top scientists and delegates from nearly 80 countries warned that:

Several key statistics are at least DOUBLE / TWICE AS BAD / happening TWICE AS FAST as previous estimates and conditions are at or beyond the worst-case scenario trajectories predicted by the dangerously outdated, 2007 IPPC report, upon which ALL current international climate negotiations are based and LIMITED TO.

And even these revised conclusions underestimate the latest science that shows many aspects of climate decline to be 2, 3, 5, 10, 20 x worse, depending.

Our Diagnosis

You know those big government reports by that group called the IPCC? That's short for Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and their summaries read like all the bad stuff out of the Old Testament, but without ANY of the drama!

2,000 scientists concluded there is (at the very most) a mere 8 years within which to SLOW, STOP AND REVERSE our ACCELERATING emissions in order to attempt to avoid that +2 C (BUT SHOULD BE 1.5 OR LESS!) tipping point we mentioned.

8 YEARS! (from 2007)

Sound bad? It gets a lot worse. The reports were released in 2007 -- 3 years ago! And the reality is, they have numerous severe and misleading limitations, especially as reported in most media:
